Overview of studying in USA

Applying to Universities in USA is a very easy process and I am going to show you how to do it for FREE.

There is a long wait for US visa appointment in Nepal, submit your application 9 months in advance. For example, if you want to go to USA in August 2025, apply by November 2024.

Video 1: How to apply to Lynchburg?

Easy step-by-step guide to apply

STEP 1: Go to Lynchburg.edu and click on Apply now

STEP 2: “Create an account” at the bottom of the page. You will receive a Temporary pin in your email.

STEP 3: Log in again. and begin the Free application.

When you get to “Enrollment” page, you will see “What company are your working with?“, make sure to select Dr. Samrat Thapa. You will receive lot of help from me.

STEP 4: Once you submit your application, you will get access to a portal. Email me if you don’t see it in few days (DrSamratThapa@gmail.com).

Video 2: Documents and Essay

Instructions

Next, You will submit Four documents

A) Passport Copy

B) Essay on why you are interested in University of Lynchburg (minimum 200 words)

C) High School Transcript (4 years)

D) English Proficiency Test (TOEFLIELTSDUO)

EASSY: You could write about following things: 1) your desire to study in USA 2) Desire to go to a small private university where you will receive lot of support (Average classroom size 16 students) 3) Your major 4) opportunity to do research with professors 5) Support and mentorship by Dr. Thapa 6) Diversity of international students in Lynchburg 7) You might be interested in playing intramural sports 8) Opportunity to be part of numerous Students clubs at University of Lynchburg

You will need letter from bank, statement from bank and you will have to complete several forms.

Video 4: Acceptance Letter

Congralutions

You will receive an email from the university when you are admitted. Congratulations!

Next step, you have pay $300 deposit and the University will issue I-20. You can make the payment in the application portal at Lynchburg.edu. If you don’t have an international credit card you can go to any bank in Nepal and ask them to make the payment. Make sure you take your I-20, passport and other documents with you.

Video 5: Applying for USA visa

You got this!

STEP 1: Complete the Nonimmigrant Visa Electronic Application (DS-160) form.

STEP 2: Create an profile using this link. If you already have a profile, don’t make a new one. Just log in.

STEP 3: Log in, Click on Schedule My Appointment option (on the left-hand side). Complete steps for Visa Type, Post, Visa Category and Visa Class.

STEP 4: Payment screen, click on Payment Options. Print your CGI Cash Deposit slip, and take it to your nearest NIMB branch and pay in cash (NPR 24,975, this amount might change). Save the receipt and also take picture.

STEP 5: Log In, enter your receipt number, and schedule your visa appointment date.

STEP 6: If visa appointment dates are very far away, keep checking back the site at midnight. New slots might open up.

Required documents for interview: 1) Passport 2) Nonimmigrant Visa Application, Form DS-160 confirmation page. 3) Application fee payment receipt. 4) I-20

Additional Documentation May Be Required: Transcripts, diplomas, degrees, or certificates from schools you attended; and Standardized test scores required by your U.S. school; How you will pay all educational, living and travel costs (Bank Statement).
